Convoy Milestones

1985 - The company "Convoy" opens business in Thessaloniki, Greece.

1989 - In the beginning, the business includes a few stores and a retail trade center in Plovdiv. In the next two years, the company opens a warehouse and four stores for fast-moving consumer goods, imported mainly from Greece, Italy, Germany, and China.

1991 - The company starts the productions of household sponges, bath sponges, and mops. In the next year, it begins the production of cosmetics, household cleaners, and detergents.

1994 - Management decides to take advantage of growth opportunities on the Bulgarian market and develop a strong distribution network in Bulgaria. The company opens a new office and warehouse in Sofia.

1996 - Convoymoves its headquarters in Sofia. The company opens its Russian branch. "Rusconvoy" is a distributor of the goods produced in Bulgaria to the Russian market. The company expands its network in Eastern and Western Europe, and Israel.

1997-1998 - To gain even more from the company's basic strengths, management decides to adopt a new organizational design. New professionals are hired to ensure profitable growth in sales and production. The company opens new offices in Varna, Bourgas, Rousse, Pleven,and Veliko Turnovo.

2000 - Convoy opens new factory and logistics centre in Sofia on the square of 60,000 m2 to accommodate the rapid increase in sales and the production expansion.

2002 - To meet the need of Balkan market Convoy starts production of professional polyether and polyester under the brand name “CONVOPREN”

2003 - To support “MAGIC CLEAN” brand and to supply total cleaning solution Convoy launches new line of detergents under the same brand “MAGIC CLEAN”.

2004 - After a successful certification audit of the quality management system established in the company, Convoy-World S.A. was presented a certificate under the terms of EN ISO 9001:2000.

2006 - A new product line - "PREMIUM" is launched. Premium quality for premium cleaning.

2008 - Convoy World SA adds to its assortment kitchen accessories under the brand name "FOLLI"

2009-2010 - Company focuses on expanding its export activities. Convoy becomes private label producer for one of the larger European companies
